Olivia Honaker
Olivia D. Honaker earned her Doctor of Social Work (DSW) from the University of Kentucky in May 2022. Dr. Honaker is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in West Virginia (DP00943852). She holds certifications as a Board-Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (BDC), Advanced Alcohol Drug Counselor (AADC), Auricular Detox Specialist (ADS), and Certified Case Manager (CCM). She serves as Contributing Faculty in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Walden University, teaching in the Master of Social Work Program. Dr. Honaker has taught Theory of Social Work Practice in Groups, Psychopathology, Social Work Ethics, Advanced Social Welfare Policy, Advanced Practicum, Child Welfare, Substance Abuse Policy, Correctional Counseling, and Individual and Group Therapy at other colleges and universities. Professionally, Dr. Honaker has worked in child welfare, juvenile justice, managed care, and clinical practice, specializing in substance use disorders and mental health, before transitioning into healthcare leadership roles.
