Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Dr. Nora Hauge (nee Dial) is a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)–prepared clinician and educator with formal expertise in Women’s Health, and teaching Epidemiology, Nursing Informatics, and Introduction to Doctoral Studies. She currently serves as a Contributing Faculty Member at Walden University, where she teaches DNP students and supports their development as scholarly practitioners and systems-level leaders.
Dr. Hauge brings more than three years of academic teaching experience and over three decades of combined clinical and industry expertise to her role. She has practiced for ten years as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP), with clinical experience spanning maternal health, contraception management, and complex women’s health conditions. In addition, she has more than twenty years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in research and development and medical affairs, with a focused portfolio in contraception and maternal health.
Her primary research interests and subject matter expertise include women’s health, maternal health, contraceptive technologies, infectious disease, and sepsis. She is particularly interested in the integration of epidemiology and informatics to improve population health outcomes and advance evidence-based practice in women’s and maternal healthcare.
Throughout her career, Dr. Hauge has trained numerous clinicians in the safe and effective use of contraceptive implants and has disseminated clinical research across diverse healthcare settings, contributing to practice change and improved patient outcomes. She is an active member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM), the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH), and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN).
Dr. Hauge is committed to mentoring doctoral students in translating evidence into practice and leading sustainable, system-level healthcare improvements.
