Dr. Nicole King is a part-time contributing faculty member in the Master of Social Work Program at Walden University and the University of Massachusetts Global. She is a seasoned Social Worker with over 16 years of experience, marked by a deep commitment to learning, teaching, and empowering others. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Saint Augustine's College, a Master's in Social Work from New York University, and a Doctorate from Simmons University. Over her 14 years as a school counselor, Dr. King developed a profound understanding of mental health and resilience, leading her to establish herself as a trusted figure in the field.
Dr. King has nearly five years of experience in higher education, where she shared her expertise in clinical social work, cultural diversity, social justice, human behavior, and development. Her agency, Mind and Mane LLC, provides clinical therapy with a holistic approach to mental health, uniquely integrating mental health and beauty services. Dr. King also mentors new mental health professionals and offers life coaching, helping individuals navigate challenges, enhance their skills, and find lasting solutions for personal growth.
Dr. King believes in the power of resilience and self-belief, often reminding others, "Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right." Her commitment to helping others realize their potential is at the heart of her work, inspiring those she serves to build meaningful, empowered lives.
