Nick Payton DSW, MSW, M.Ed. has over 10 years of combined professional experience in social work, leadership, and higher education. Dr. Payton earned a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) with a concentration in Social Work Education from the University of Kentucky College of Social Work. Additional academic credentials include a Master of Social Work from Campbellsville University; a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis with a concentration in Higher Education Administration; and a Graduate Certificate in College Teaching from the University of Missouri. This interdisciplinary educational background informs Dr. Payton’s teaching, scholarship, and service within higher education. His professional and scholarly expertise encompasses mental and behavioral health, social work leadership, higher education policy, curriculum development, and evidence-based teaching and learning. Dr. Payton maintains active membership in professional organizations committed to service, scholarship, and the advancement of equity and social justice.
