Nathan E. Popham, DSW, MBA, MSW, LCSW, earned his Doctor of Social Work from the University of Southern California, Master of Social Work from Simmons University, and Master of Business Administration from the College of William and Mary. Dr. Popham currently serves as Adjunct Faculty in the Master of Social Work program at Walden University and has been in higher education since 2025.

Professionally, Dr. Popham is a clinically focused social worker and behavioral health leader with experience across hospital, community mental health, private practice, and residential treatment settings. He is licensed as a clinical social worker in Alabama (LICSW #4618C, issued January 4, 2021) and Georgia (LCSW #CSW007489, issued February 12, 2021).

In addition to his academic role, Dr. Popham provides psychotherapy and clinical supervision to social workers pursuing licensure. His professional interests include improving access to behavioral health services, particularly for children and adolescents in rural communities, and enhancing organizational effectiveness within nonprofit and behavioral health systems.
