Dr. Naomi DeShore-Osborne has served in several Clinical Staff Officer positions at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Retired from the Federal Government in February 2023, Dr. DeShore-Osborne served as Medical Provider for the Exceptional Family Member Program, providing oversight for EFMP and the Family Members Travel Screening program. Dr. DeShore-Osborne was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at USUHS until retirement and currently holds an Adjunct Faculty position at Central Michigan University.
Dr. DeShore-Osborne has served in various senior medical positions throughout her 28-year U.S. Air Force Reserves career. Retired from the USAF Reserves in May 2015, Lieutenant Colonel DeShore-Osborne’s last duty assignment was at the 908th Aeromedical Staging Squadron, Maxwell AFB, AL. As the Chief Nurse Executive, she led the Nursing Services section in managing the public health programs for 1300 wing personnel to ensure a healthy and fit military force.
Dr. DeShore-Osborne completed her Doctor of Health Administration at Central Michigan University in May 2020 with a Graduate Certificate in International Health. She completed a Master of Public Administration, Master of Science, Advanced Practice Nursing, and a Graduate Certificate in Nursing Education. She has lectured locally, nationally, and internationally on pediatric health care, emergency and military medicine, global health, and COVID-19.
