Michelle E. Wade received her Ed.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Argosy University-NOVA in August 2014. She currently is serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of New Orleans and is also serving as Contributing Faculty of Walden University. Dr. Wade teaches a wide variety of classes for Walden University from Ethics and Legal Issues in Counseling to Pre-practicum. Professionally, Dr. Wade has served as Ethics Specialist of the American Counseling Association, a LPC-S in both Louisiana and Virginia. Her areas of interest for research are ethics, technology in counseling, positive sexuality, and multicultural awareness. She believes strongly in approaching the field of counseling with an understanding of systemic oppression and an anti-racist lens. She identifies as a qualitative researcher and has a number of publications and presentations on the aforementioned topics.
