Michele Walsh
Michele Walsh is a Licensed Social Worker who received her Doctor in Philosophy in Social Work from Widener University, a Master’s in Social Work from Temple University and Chatham University’s Infant Mental Health Certificate. Dr. Walsh currently works for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Special Assistant to the Deputy Secretary of the Office of Children, Youth, and Families (OCYF). She has been instrumental in the development of a research agenda for OCYF, has developed and implemented commonwealth wide programs in compliance with federal and state regulations. Before joining OCYF Dr. Walsh worked for the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse services -Bureau of Children’s Behavioral Health, Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, as an adjunct professor at Widener University and was the Program Manager for the Pennsylvania Infant/Early Childhood Consultation Project under the PA Key on behalf of the Office of Child Development and Early Learning. Her volunteer work includes being a founding member of the Pennsylvania Association for Infant Mental Health where Dr. Walsh is active in developing comprehensive integrated systems that promote healthy social and emotional development for all children.
