Michael Vinella and received a Ph.D. in K-12 Educational Leadership from Walden University, M.Ed in Administration and Supervision from Kean University, and BA Economics from Rutgers University. He has worked at Walden University since 2008 teaching courses, working as a committee chair and second member, facilitating residencies, and serving on various university committees. He has conducted extensive research on the implementation of professional learning communities, technology integration and curriculum/assessment development. He worked internationally and domestically in the private sector before moving into education. He served as the NJPSA President and Board Member. In 2020, Michael was named NASSP NJ Principal of the Year and NJPSA/FEA Visionary Principal of the Year. He currently serves as the NASSP State Coordinator for NJ and serves on the Executive Committee of NJSIAA. Michael has also served on many state and national committees, and most recently served as the Co-Chair of the Governors Dual Enrollment Commission. He also works as a NJPSA Field Representative and serves as a mentor for NJ Leaders to Leaders.
