Dr. Melanie A. Jappah is a contributing faculty member at Walden University and a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in Minnesota. Her academic journey began with an Associate Degree in Nursing from Don Bosco Polytechnic (2005), followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stella Maris Polytechnic (2008). In 2021, she earned a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from Walden University. Building on this expertise, she completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Healthcare Leadership at The College of St. Scholastica in 2023.With nearly two decades of nursing experience, Dr. Jappah has served in diverse roles, including staff nurse, charge nurse, triage nurse, supervisor, and clinical mentor. Her professional practice spans acute psychiatry, behavioral health, transitional care, skilled nursing, and home health settings. She remains actively engaged in clinical practice while contributing to the education and mentorship of future psychiatric mental health professionals.
