Marla Pankratz has served as a Professor and Director of Early Childhood Education since 2019.She spent the previous 26 years in public education teaching PreK-2nd grade as a classroom teacher, librarian, and principal. She is currently teaching the next generation of early childhood professionals at the university level. She earned her B.S.in Elementary/Early Childhood Education in 1993 and an M.Ed. in Library Media in 1998 from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She earned a M.A. in Educational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University. She is currently in the dissertation phase of earning a Doctor in Education from Walden University. She is certified in the state of Oklahoma as an early childhood teacher, elementary teacher, middle school science teacher, middle school language arts teacher, library media specialist, reading specialist, elementary principal, secondary principal, and superintendent. She earned National Board Certification in 2003 as an Early Childhood Generalist.
