Mariah Morris
My name is Mariah Morris, and I am an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and hold national certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the Florida State University in 2004. I then received my Master’s of Science in Nursing with focus on Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from the University of Central Florida in 2007. I am board certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. I also completed my DNP program in July 2016 from the University of South Alabama. I have enjoyed working in the pediatrics field for the majority of my nursing career. I started as a staff RN at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children where I worked on a pediatric medical-surgical floor. After receiving my ARNP degree, I worked at local elementary and high schools providing primary care services to underprivileged children. I then went on to specialize in child neurology where I worked as an ARNP seeing pediatric patients with various neurologic issues in the inpatient and outpatient setting. I have always enjoyed teaching and precepting my fellow nursing and medical professionals. I am a full time professor for the University of West Florida in the RN-BSN program and MSN program, and an adjunct professor for South University, Herzing University, and Walden University in the MSN programs. I am also a clinical site visitor for Family Nurse Practitioner students doing their pediatric clinicals. I enjoy furthering my knowledge in the nursing/medical field and enjoy sharing my knowledge with others.
