Dr. Maria Natal's formal training is in nursing, professional development and public health. As a Registered Nurse for 30+ years, Dr. Natal has held various leadership positions in the healthcare industry. Dr. Natal served as a surveyor with the Joint Commission where she traveled throughout the nation to assess healthcare organization compliance with patient safety, quality standards and regulation compliance. She has developed curriculum and taught in online as well as face-to-face universities. She serves as the Director of the Center for Clinical Practice in Englewood, NJ where she is responsible for organization-wide education/ professional development, accreditation and research programs. At Walden University, she teaches graduate and doctoral students enrolled in the School of Health Sciences Public Health programs.
