Lora Hoffman received her PhD in Counselor Education at Oregon State University in December 2020. She currently serves as a Contributing Faculty member in the School of Counseling at Walden University since November 2025. Before coming to Walden University, Dr. Hoffman has taught Loss & Grief Counseling, Neurocounseling: Brain & Behavior Brain-Based Interventions, Crisis Intervention Counseling, Clinical Supervision, Consultation, School Counseling: Secondary Ed, Counseling & Aging, Psychopathology and Diagnosis, Testing and Assessment, Theories and Techniques, Research Methods, Practicum, Internship I, Internship II and Group Counseling at other universities. Professionally, Dr. Hoffman has worked as a school counselor, as a domestic violence court advocate and as a juvenile probation officer.
