Lin Jiang, PhD, is a tenured Associate Professor of Social Work at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). She earned her PhD in Social Work from the University of Denver and has over 17 years of professional and academic experience in social work, gerontology, and mental health. Dr. Jiang teaches courses in research methods, policy analysis, human behavior in the social environment, and gerontological social work.

Dr. Jiang is the grant reviewer for NIH SBIR and HRSA and has served as the Program Evaluation Lead on multiple federally funded projects, including those supported by HRSA and SAMHSA. She is currently a Health and Aging Policy Fellow and an American Political Science Association (APSA) Congressional Fellow, supporting policy work related to aging and health at Congresswoman Barragán’s office in Washington, DC.

Her research focuses on health disparities among minority populations, particularly Latino and Asian family caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD). Her work examines caregiving stress, mental health, and cognitive outcomes, with an emphasis on culturally responsive interventions. Dr. Jiang has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented her research nationally and internationally. She also holds leadership roles in national gerontology organizations.
