Latonia Staples Alexander holds a PhD in General Psychology from Capella University, with a scholarly focus on mental health, recovery, and culturally responsive practice. She also earned a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Alexander has previously taught undergraduate and graduate courses in psychology and recently joined Walden University as an adjunct faculty member. Her academic interests include women’s mental health, leadership, and systemic inequities in mental health care. She brings extensive experience in online education, curriculum development, and student mentoring across higher-education settings.
