Kristie Lipford Wyatt, PhD, is a methodologist with NIH postdoctoral research fellowship training from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and Emory University School of Medicine. She teaches statistics, research methods, and capstone courses across the social and behavioral sciences, working with both undergraduates and social work doctoral students. Her teaching is rooted in her extensive experience in community-based research and consulting and integrates applied research, social action, and innovation to address urban issues and social problems.

She is also a published researcher, with work appearing in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine, American Journal of Transplantation, and BMC Nephrology. Her most recent social work contribution can be found in the manuscript, Social Justice and Black Men’s Health.

Outside of academia, she serves as a community strategist, leveraging her background in methods and social epidemiology to partner with nonprofits and social impact leaders on program design, evaluation, and outcomes measurement. Her work bridges the gap between clinical research and community practice and is rooted in the belief that building healthier cities is essential to supporting healthier individuals and communities.
