Kimberly Martin
Dr. Martin is an advanced practice nurse at the University of Chicago Medicine. She specializes in Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Martin has been a registered nurse for 17 years. She graduated from Bradley University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Nursing Degree. She started her career at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She spent three years as a staff nurse on a general medicine unit. She then moved on to working in the Coronary Care Unit and the Medical Intensive care Unit for almost 4 years. As a staff nurse Dr. Martin precepeted new graduate nurses and participated in the nursing research committee. She has been a nurse practitioner for 10 years. She graduated from North Park University in 2008 with a Master of Science in Nursing. She recently completed a Post-Masters' Certificate in Orthopaedic Nursing from Duke University. She has given presentations to new graduate nurses about Orthopaedic Surgery. She has also presented at professional conferences. She is active in professional nursing organizations. Dr. Martin's clinical interests include primary care, orthopaedic surgery, geriatrics and nursing education. She graduated from the University of St. Francis in May 2013 with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree and has active licenses in Illinois and Minnesota as a registered nurse and an adult nurse practitioner.
