Dr. Kimberly Delbo is a visionary, innovative, and heart‑centered leader with nearly two decades of experience transforming care and learning environments across the healthcare continuum, from bedside to boardroom to academe. With 20 years of professional experience, including 12 years in nursing education as both a nursing professor and a nursing education program administrator, she is known for cultivating loving, positive, and professional environments that promote a culture of health, human flourishing, and sustainability.
Guided by empathy, authenticity, and innovation, Dr. Delbo is committed to advancing a more human‑centered healthcare system. Her leadership is marked by a deep dedication to addressing social drivers of health and improving the well‑being of at‑risk and marginalized populations. She is recognized for her ability to navigate complex challenges, implement evidence‑based practices, and lead transdisciplinary teams toward shared goals. Her work in creating supportive, healing, and healthy work environments has contributed to improved staff satisfaction, retention, recruitment, and role socialization, ultimately reducing burnout and enhancing patient care and organizational sustainability.
Dr. Delbo’s formal areas of teaching and scholarship include nursing education, leadership, and population and community health nursing. Her primary research interests center on promoting a culture of health, well‑being, human flourishing and sustainability within healthcare systems and communities. She is passionate about upstream, innovative approaches to healthcare transformation and empowering others to reimagine what is possible when leading with both head and heart.
As an adjunct faculty member in Walden University’s MSN Nurse Education program, Dr. Delbo supports emerging nurse educators in developing the knowledge, skills, and reflective practices needed to influence the future of nursing education and practice.
In her broader professional roles, she serves as a national advisory board member, where she designs and delivers leadership courses, seminars, and trainings to healthcare leaders nationwide. She is a recognized Change Maker by the National Academy of Medicine for her contributions to advancing healthcare worker well‑being and is a graduate of the National League for Nursing’s Leadership Academy Institute for Social Determinants of Health and Social Change.
Her professional affiliations include serving on the national advisory board member, and contributing to the Society of Nurse Scientists, Innovators, Entrepreneurs, and Leaders (SONSIEL) United Nations Committee. As a lifelong learner, she holds degrees from Thomas Jefferson University, Slippery Rock University, Bloomsburg University, and Liberty University.
Across all her roles, Dr. Delbo continues to illuminate the future of healthcare with empathy, trust, purpose, and compassion, empowering individuals and organizations to flourish.
