In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. Ken Feldman, PhD, EdD, FACHE, joined Ross University School of Medicine in 2022 as senior associate dean, academic and student affairs. In this role, Dr. Feldman oversees academic and student affairs at the Barbados campus and all clinical sites, accreditation and approval processes, and student success programs. He is responsible for the development of holistic student support systems that build strong student engagement, drive positive extracurricular experiences, and deliver targeted academic support.
Dr. Kenneth J. Feldman was appointed as the Executive Director For St. George's Univeristy School of Medicine in October 2017. He is responsible for supporting the 1,500 admissions annually in the School of Medicine, ensuring exceptional student outcomes in their USMLE examinations and has oversight for the School of Medicine’s support team including: The Office of Career Guidance, the On-site Clinical Student Support Program, Academic Advising, Alternative Career Paths, Clinical Advisors, Graduation Assessment Board and Student Wellness.
Dr. Feldman was the Deputy Executive Director for NYC Health + Hospitals and oversaw the development of the mission and strategic plan for all Ambulatory Gotham Health sites (19) in Brooklyn and Staten Island (3 FQHC and 16 Community Health Centers), projected to see more than 450,000 visits annually. He insured the consistency with the overall service line and organization's mission and responsible for shaping strategies to insure growth and success of the Ambulatory Care business model.
Before his career at NYC Health + Hospitals he was a Dean for SUNY Empire State College and presently he is a faculty member for Walden University’s School of Health Sciences, Ph.D. in Health Services Program, a Dissertation Chair and a Subject Matter Expert for Walden University’s Master of Healthcare Administration Program. As an Associate Professor at Stony Brook University, he developed the curriculum, course material and instructed graduate courses in Ambulatory Care Administration, Fundamentals of Healthcare Management, Principles of Managed Care, The Business Aspects of Healthcare, Human Resource Management, Group Practice Administration and Health Care Financial Management. He has extensive leadership experience within Higher Education, Academic Medical Centers, and large ambulatory care group practices in accreditation, strategic planning and metrics-driven operations.
Dr. Feldman received his Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership from Northcentral University, a Ph.D from LaSalle University in Health Care Administration and an MPA in Healthcare Administration from Long Island University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives with certifications in Six Sigma Green Belt-Healthcare and Lean Breakthrough-Silver certification.
