Katie Van Lennep, DNP, CCRN-K, NE-BC, is a contributing faculty member. She earned a Master’s degree in nursing education and a DNP in executive leadership from Walden University. Dr. Van Lennep’s DNP Capstone project was Blended Nursing, a Team Nursing Project, which focused on returning LPNs to the acute care environment and team nursing.
Dr. Van Lennep has 20+ years of experience in hospital-based nursing, with experience in critical care, interventional radiology, staff education, and leadership. Dr. Van Lennep has extensive experience in teaching acute care nurses and specializes in preparing nurses to pass the PCCN, CCRN, and MSRN certification examinations. Her most recent position was as Regional Director of Clinical Learning for a large health system. Dr. Van Lennep has a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and enjoys helping team members work through quality improvement problems.
