Dr. Judia Yael Malachi has a passion for students and their success! In addition to her role as Contributing Faculty for the College of Health Sciences, she serves as a Doctoral Specialist for the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Malachi is a Walden University alumna – earning her PhD in Public Health in 2015, and Master of Public Health in 2007. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and maintains both certifications through continuing education opportunities. Her professional affiliations include the American Public Health Association, American Evaluation Association, and the National Society of Leadership and Success. Outside of Walden, Dr. Malachi is the Director of Public Health Programs for a nonprofit volunteer-led health clinic, provides oversight to public health students completing their field experience, and serves in church ministry. Her primary areas of interest include health education and promotion in clinical settings; cultural competencies and disparities in health care; the interconnections between faith, health, and wellness, and factors affecting student success and development.
