Juail Goode

Juail Goode, Ed.D., is a contributing faculty member in the Ed.D. Educational Leadership program at Walden University, where she supports doctoral candidates in coursework and applied research. Her formal field of study is educational leadership, with an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and an Ed.M. in Educational Administration and Supervision, both from Rutgers University, along with an MPA in Public Administration and induction into Pi Alpha Alpha.
Dr. Goode brings more than 20 years of professional experience spanning K-12 education, higher education, and workforce development. She began her career in Newark, New Jersey, serving nine years with Newark Public Schools as a Lead Literacy Teacher and Literacy Coach. She went on to serve as Senior Program Administrator for the Rutgers School System Improvement Project, supporting district-level turnaround work, and later as a Content Specialist and Field Supervisor for the New Jersey Alternate Route teacher certification program. Since 2020, she has taught as an adjunct lecturer in the Ed.D. Educational Leadership program at the Rutgers Graduate School of Education, where she also serves on dissertation committees.
Dr. Goode is the Founder and Director of Goode Education Group, LLC, a New Jersey state-licensed private career school and WIOA-designated Eligible Training Provider focused on clean energy and building science workforce training. ​
Her research interests center on educational leadership, workforce development policy, adult learning, and the pathways connecting education systems to economic opportunity. Her subject matter expertise includes K-12 instructional leadership, literacy instruction, teacher preparation and certification, career and technical education, and program design and evaluation in publicly funded workforce systems. She holds New Jersey Principal, Supervisor, and Standard Teaching certifications. She earned her B.A. in Psychology, cum laude, from Virginia Union University.
