Dr. Fry's background is in K-12 education. He is a licensed K-12 Principal, Supervisor and Director of Special Education as well as a licensed teacher in Social Studies, Emotional or Behavior Disorders (EBD) & Learning Disabilities (SLD). He has worked in various education settings and levels as both a teacher and administrator. His expereince in higher education is has been as a Dissertation Mentor and Associate Professor. He has been the Director of Special Education for Columbia Heights Public Schools, DaVinci Academy & Mesa Public Schools the last seven years.

In his administrative roles, he has supported general and special educators, in providing an authentic inclusive environment that meets the needs of students. Additionally, he has supported Multi Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) by developing systems and procedures for scientifically researched interventions in the area of social-emotional learning, behavior & academics (reading and math) Furthermore, he has worked collaboratively in developing a system and accompanying manual for clarity on SLD eligibility determination in the area of reading through the use of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). He is a presenter at state, national and international conferences.
