Dr. Kaplan has been in the field of Behavioral Medicine and Neuroscience for over 30 years in various academic roles and passion projects in community health, HIV interventions and epidemiology as well as clinical trials in university and the private sector including consulting statistics, clinical trials, and textbook and curriculum development. She earned her PhD at the University of Miami where she conducted research and mentored students from undergraduate programs as well as serving on many dissertation committees. Jill is currently mentoring doctoral students and continuing her true love, teaching. She has focused much of her career on the field of gender and neuroscience/behavior and personality. Dr. Kaplan has spoken in various capacities for organizations worldwide. She had serves on the Florida Lawyer’s Assistance board of trustees, the Women’s Club of Coconut Grove, the Gifford Lane Art Stroll, the Friends of the Commodore Trail, Women of Tomorrow, Culture Club, Athlete Ally, Defending Democracy, Artists Joining Forces International of the Women, Peace and Security Act.
