Jil Hus is a native of Northwest Indiana and an alumni of Walden University earning her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. Ms. Hus also holds a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Purdue University Northwest. As a licensed mental health counselor for the state of Indiana, Ms. Hus is also a board certified counselor and approved clinical supervisor. Jil’s academia experience includes teaching, supervision, and committee service at the college level in the role of adjunct and visiting instructor. Most recently, she has been teaching at Walden University since 2021. Her professional career outside academia includes her clinical work at a private practice where she facilitates individual, couple, and family therapy sessions. Additionally, she provides clinical supervision to both Master's level interns and associated licensed clinicians. Her research interests include the use of creativity in counseling and counselor education as well as professional identity development in counseling students.
