Jil Hus

Jil Hus, PhD, LMHC(IN), LCPC(IL), NCC, ACS, BC-TMH
Jil Hus is a native of Northwest Indiana and an alumna of Walden University, where she earned her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. She also holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Purdue University Northwest.
As a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Indiana and a licensed clinical professional couselor in the state of Illinois,, Dr. Hus is also a board-certified counselor and an approved clinical supervisor. Her academic experience includes teaching, supervision, and committee service at the college level, serving as both an adjunct and visiting instructor. Since 2021, she has been teaching at Walden University.
Beyond academia, Dr. Hus maintains her own telemental health clinical practice where she provides individual, couples, and family therapy. She also offers clinical supervision to Master’s-level interns and associate-licensed clinicians. Her research interests focus on the use of creativity in counseling and counselor education, as well as the professional identity development of counseling students.
