Jackie Ruffin

Dr. Jacqueline "Jackie" Ruffin, DSW, MSW, MBA, is a social work professional and educator with experience spanning child welfare, mental health, medical social work, and healthcare leadership. She earned a BS in Psychology and a BA in Criminal Justice from Valdosta State University, as well as an MBA, MSW, and Doctor of Social Work (DSW) from Walden University. She also holds a Master of Science in Public Safety Leadership from Capella University. Her professional specializations include case management, healthcare systems, interdisciplinary leadership, and behavioral health services. She has been teaching undergraduate BSW courses since 2023.
Dr. Ruffin is a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated, and currently serves as the Director of Case Management at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital. She has been affiliated with Walden University as an adjunct faculty member since 2026 and has taught Trauma-Informed Care, Human Biology and Social Work Practice I and II, Social Service Delivery Systems, Social Work Ethics and Decision Making, Social Welfare Policy and Services, and Methods of Research in Social Work within undergraduate BSW programs.
She currently holds an LCSW (CSW008627) with the State of Georgia effective 05/18/2023 and LICSW (5439C) with the State of Alabama effective 09/2025.
