Gretchen Battle

College of Allied Health

Gretchen J. Battle received her bachelor's of science at Howard University and both of her Master of Public Health and Master of Business Administration from Loma Linda University. She is also a board-certified coach with the National Board of Health Wellness Coaching and the International Coaching Federation as an ACC. She has led impactful wellness initiatives across healthcare, higher education, and corporate sectors, helping diverse populations achieve sustainable, whole-person wellbeing. Prior to teaching at Walden University was also at adjunct professor at she taught the following courses at University of Phoenix and Arizona Nursing College: Element of Health and Wellness, Human Nutrition, People Science & Environment, Cultural Diversity and Global Health.
In addition to working at Walden University, Gretchen currently has her own wellness and coaching business, Xenodo Wellness and Coaching. Where she builds wellness and coaching programs for small to medium size businesses. She also contracts a wellness coach for Spring Health.
Through her work, Gretchen empowers individuals and organizations to translate insight into action—building healthier systems, stronger communities, and more resilient lives.
