Francine Colas, PhD, APRN, FNP-BC, serves as a Contributing Faculty Member in Walden University's College of Nursing Master’s Program. With 17 years of nursing experience and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2017, Dr. Colas brings extensive clinical expertise to her teaching. She is passionate about supporting adult learners and fostering a collaborative, student-centered learning environment that promotes critical thinking and professional growth.

Dr. Colas is also a published author, creating comprehensive online learning materials designed to support nursing students in areas such as health education and emergency preparedness. Her work emphasizes practical application and evidence-based strategies to enhance student learning and professional readiness. In addition, her doctoral research, completed in 2023, explored the transition of children and youth with special health care needs to adult health care services. This research underscores her dedication to improving continuity of care across the lifespan and addressing critical gaps in health care delivery for vulnerable populations.
