Dr. Eurekia Samuel, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, CDES
Dr. Eurekia Samuel is an active member of the Mississippi Nurses Association, District 13 and serves as Director at Large. Currently, she serves in the role of Contributing Faculty at Walden University. Her nursing career began in 1996 as a Licensed Practical Nurse after graduating from Holmes Community College. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing in 1999, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mississippi.
In 2007, Dr. Samuel completed a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Post Master’s in Nursing Education at Alcorn State University. Her passion for nursing education has led her to teach at both Hinds Community College and Alcorn State University, where she remains committed to advancing nursing practice and mentoring future professionals. She has served as a preceptor for numerous nurse practitioner students, fostering clinical excellence and professional growth.
Dr. Samuel earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Walden University in 2021 and became a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist in 2023. Her dedication to the nursing profession is evident through her leadership, advocacy and commitment to lifelong learning. Dr. Samuel has dedicated her career to advancing healthcare excellence and empowering the next generation of nurses.
