Emily E. Genever, Ph.D., LCPC, NCC, is a licensed clinical professional counselor and national certified counselor with extensive experience in the field of mental health counseling. She received her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Walden University in 2022, specializing in Crisis and Trauma. In addition to her Ph.D., Dr. Genever holds an M.Sc. in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, completed in 2012, and a B.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Phoenix, completed in 2009. She has also earned various certifications, including a certification as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician- Crisis Service Provider (MHRT-CSP) and as a Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team responder.
Dr. Genever's clinical work experience involves crisis management and consultation, individual counseling, and disaster behavioral health response. She has worked extensively with Maine's first responders by both training them in crisis intervention and supporting first responder mental health through her private practice and community support.
