Emily is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maine. She is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board of Certified Counselors. Emily has an extensive background in working in a variety of clinical settings including crisis stabilization, inmate mental health support, first responder mental health support, outpatient therapy, hospital-based mental health assessment, school counseling, and community critical incident support. She is trained in critical incident debriefing and EMDR.
She hold a bachelor's degree in psychology, a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling, and is completing her dissertation to earn her doctorate in counselor education and supervision. Emily has gained experience in teaching through Husson University, teaching classes including Crisis Management, Group Counseling, Practicum, and Child and Adolescent Therapy. She currently holds a contributing faculty position at Walden University.
