Dr. Elizabeth Walker's formal training is in social work and higher education administration. She has served in various roles over a 30+ year career. Dr. Walker has served as Program Director for several social work programs (both brick and mortar and online) in the deep US South, and administrator in several non-profit organizations (Girl Scouts, American Heart Association entities, etc.) At Walden University, she serves as core faculty in the MSW Program, primarily teaching research and field, and regularly mentors doctoral capstone students. She is an active Council on Social Work Education site visitor. Finally, she is currently the Chair of her local Task Force on Behavioral Health and Homelessness.
