Ekaete "Eka" Oyeka is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She started her nursing career in Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Tyler Junior College (2008), Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN) from University of Texas at Arlington (2011), and Master of Science in Nursing degree (MSN) from Walden University (2019). Ekaete is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Touro University Nevada.

Ekaete joined Walden University May 2022 as a contributing faculty. She has teaching experience with Wilkes University, which started in 2021 as an Adjunct Professor (PMHNP Program) teaching NSG-535-Adv Prac in Psych/MH Nurs I and NSG-536- Adv Prac in Psych/MH Nurs II. Ekaete also precepts PMHNP students at her private practice.
Ekaete has extensive experience in nursing ranging from med-surg, acute-care, ortho/surgical/trauma, surgical oncology, pediatric home care, home health, and mental health.

Ekaete is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (STTI), the SSTI Phi Nu Chapter at Walden University. She also holds a membership with the American Nurses Association (ANA), American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA), Texas Nurse Practitioners (TNP), and Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurses of Texas (PAPN).
