Dr. Eileen Kicmal has been in the field of education for over thirty years. She received her bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University where she studied English and communication and also received her teacher certification, license. Her teaching career then began in secondary education as a high school English teacher before earning her master's degree from Northern Illinois University. As a college professor, curriculum designer, and educational leader, Dr. Kicmal strongly believes in the philosophy of lifelong learning. Dr. Kicmal has presented research in the field of teaching and learning at the Association of Leadership Educators Conferences and completed her Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership in 2014 from the University of Phoenix. Dr. Kicmal teaches English and humanities courses as a contributing faculty member here at Walden University.
