Donte Corey
Dr. Dontè R. Corey is a practitioner in the fields of mental health and education. She is a Contributing Faculty member at Walden University, and she has taught a variety of courses within clinical mental health counseling programs in the United States and Canada via in person and online since 2015. Dr. Corey earned her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from North Carolina State University. She currently manages a private mental health practice that she opened in 2010. In her practice, she provides counseling, administration of diagnostic assessments, handling of all business operations and licensure supervision for the state of North Carolina. Her preferred theoretical orientations are cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused brief therapy. Dr. Corey has diverse research interests including trauma, military culture and racial issues.
