Donna Sutton

My name is Dr. Donna Sutton, DNP, AGNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, and I am excited to be your instructor for this course.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Tampa and completed my dual doctorate education as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of mental health settings, including consult liaison, inpatient, and outpatient care, treating individuals with diverse mental health needs and diagnoses. I currently work with Veterans at the VAMC, where I continue my passion for supporting patients through compassionate, evidence-based care.

I am passionate about being a lifelong learner and truly enjoy teaching and mentoring others. I believe in empowering individuals and working together as a team to achieve goals. Each person brings valuable experiences and knowledge that can enrich the learning process, and I value creating a collaborative and supportive environment where we can all learn from one another.
