In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. Dr. Diane Rullo has been performing clinical interventions since 1980. Her work began as a crisis intervention specialist. Dr. Rullo has worked in the addiction treatment field, as a clinician and supervisor, as a Family Preservation Services supervisor, and as a private practitioner since 1992. Dr. Rullo has been teaching masters and PhD level social workers since 1995.
Dr. Rullo has expertise in clinical diagnosis. She also is an addiction specialist as well as having expertise in marriage and family counseling. As a clinician she has expertise in clinical intervention such as Client Centered Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and group practice.
Dr. Rullo’s areas of research expertise are in clinical work and addictions. She has experience in Action Research Methods.
