Dewanna Blake is a registered nurse with over thirty years of health care experience. She has worked as a nurse educator in academia for the past 15 years. Clincal areas of expertise include the emergency department and mental health. Nursing subject matter expertise includes medical-surgical, mental health, and practicum courses. Dewanna holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing Education & Leadership from Chamberlain University and a Masters in Nursing Education from the University of Phoenix.

She has served as a Peer Evaluator with the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) for the past five years. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the American Psychological Association.
