Denise Newman

Dr. Newman lives in the small town of North Augusta, South Carolina on the South Carolina/Georgia border. She has been teaching for the past 11 years. She has taught all grades between Kindergarten - eight Grade ans served as a mentor and coach to new teachers. She is of Irish descent and speaks a little Irish Gaelic.

Dr. Newman graduated with her Doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix. She earned two Masters in Education degrees, one in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading and one in Educational Leadership, from Grand Canyon University. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Elementary and Middle Grades Education from the University of South Carolina.

Her passion is advocating for students with special needs. Dr. Newman has been a speaker at conferences regarding the inclusion of students with special needs within the general education classroom at the National Inclusion Project and at other conferences around the country.
