Dr. David Rentler is a licensed clinical psychologist employed as the Supervising Psychologist at a state Parole Board. He has been a Contributing Faculty Member teaching courses and serving as Dissertation Chair, Second Committee Member, and University Research Reviewer for the Forensic Psychology program at Walden University since 2015. He has been an adjunct faculty member/lecturer in psychology, sociology, human services, and criminal justice at several state and on-line colleges and universities for the past 12 years. He has also served as Dissertation Chair and Committee member for the past eight years at other colleges and universities. He has experience with both qualitative and quantitative methods and designs and enjoys mentoring learners through the dissertation process. His research interests include: assessment, treatment, and management of correctional and community-based forensic populations; wellness, training, and professional development for correctional/ community supervision staff; evidence-based practices in corrections and community supervision; program evaluation; and violence risk assessment.
