In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. Dr. Daniel Oyewole holds a doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) with a focus in psychiatry from Walden University. Originally from Nigeria, Dr. Oyewole has been in healthcare for two decades. Dr. Oyewole previously held a bachelor's and master's degree in Education from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and has taught biology in high school and college for ten years. He holds an Associate of Nursing degree from Prince George's Community College, Largo, Maryland, in 2010, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the American Sentinel College of Nursing & Health Sciences, Aurora, Colorado, in 2012, and a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in 2020. Dr. Oyewole is a psychiatric mental health board-certified (ANCC PMHNP-BC) and he possesses strong clinical and leadership skills to improve practice and healthcare delivery. Dr. Oyewole is currently a provider for behavioral hospitals and is the CEO of Goshen Behavioral Health and Wellness Clinic, located in Fort Worth, Texas.
