In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. Dr. Claude-Marthe is an accomplished Industrial and Organizational Psychologist with a Ph.D. from Walden University, where she also earned her Master's degrees. She holds a Master degree in Psychology from Ashford University and a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Washington Adventist University. Currently, she serves as a Contributing Faculty member at Walden University, guiding Ph.D. candidates through their dissertation processes and facilitating research.
With extensive experience in quality management and compliance, Dr. Claude-Marthe has developed a strong background in overseeing quality control systems and ensuring regulatory compliance across various sectors. Her expertise spans quality management systems, laboratory procedures, and compliance with industry standards.
Born and raised in Haiti as the first child and grandchild, Dr. Claude-Marthe is also a dedicated mother and a self-published author of children's science books on Amazon. She is an active member of the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success and the Golden Key International Honor Society, demonstrating her commitment to both professional excellence and continuous learning.
