Ciji Mitchell

My name is Ciji Mitchell. I'm in Houston but I am NOLA born and bred. I have been living in Houston for the fifteen years but I go home to visit as much as I can. I am Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with a EdD in Counselor Education. I've been practicing in the field of counseling for the last 12 years. I'm married for 15 years with two children ages 14 and 10. We recently spent some time living abroad in the Netherlamds for the last three years and relocated back to Houston in July of this year.
Some of my experience includes providing counseling at the state and local level of government, hospital therapy, mental health PICU, managed care, virtual counseling, and private practice. I have taught courses in person at a loval univeristy here in Houston as well as worked teaching course on-line. My favorite work related thing to do is to attend conferences and present research on various topics.
Beyond the classroom I enjoy reading, traveling, shopping, and spending time with my family. I also enjoy watching basketball and football.
