Christie Johnson

Dr. Christie Johnson is an Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner who earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Capella University in 2022. She has worked in healthcare for over 20 years, beginning her career as a state-tested nursing assistant (STNA) in a rehab facility and home hospice. She became a registered nurse in 2009 and has worked in both medical-surgical and hospice specialties. She earned her Master’s degree from Walden University. As a nurse practitioner, she has experience in primary care for managed care organizations, wound care in nursing homes, and home care settings. She also mentors nurse practitioner students and has taught in-person registered nursing courses. Her passion for learning fuels her teaching pursuits, and she strives to contribute to the nursing field by preparing future graduates for the profession.
