Caroline Tomlinson

Dr. Caroline Tomlinson is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in Dallas, Texas. She has been practicing as a nurse practitioner since 2018, following a distinguished 10-year career as a critical care nurse that began in 2008. She holds a Master of Public Health and earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2021.
Dr. Tomlinson is the owner and operator of a private psychiatric practice and provides consultation services to multiple emergency departments across several states. Her clinical expertise is complemented by her academic experience, which includes teaching in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at West Coast University, as well as precepting and mentoring numerous Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner students, including those at Walden University. She is committed to advancing nursing education and is enthusiastic about continuing her teaching role within Walden’s PMHNP program.
In addition to her clinical and academic contributions, Dr. Tomlinson is a proud veteran who served in the United States Army as part of the 94th Combat Support Hospital. She maintains active membership in several professional organizations, including the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, Texas Nurse Practitioners, and the American Nurses Association.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Dr. Tomlinson values time with her family and enjoys traveling. She and her husband actively support their three children in their athletic pursuits, including baseball and softball.
Dr. Tomlinson is dedicated to lifelong learning, clinical excellence, and the development of future nurse practitioners, and she looks forward to contributing to student success in the PMHNP program at Walden University.
