Bryan A. Smith, FNP-C

Bryan Smith’s formal training is as a Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in tertiary care as a Hospitalist and Emergency Medicine in the Baptist Health Care System serving three major facilities in the largest Health Care Center serving Central Alabama. He100 has also served in the US Navy Reserve and US Air Force reserve for 31yrs in total, with his last 8 yrs as a Nursing Officer/Nurse Practitioner charged w/ assisting oversight of medical readiness for greater than 1100 airmen that comprise the 908th Aeromedical Staging Squadron.

Mr. Smith has served as an adjunct instructor for the BSN program at South University in Montgomery, Alabama since 2017 teaching Clinical Assessment, Clinical Assessment Lab, and the Nursing Fundamentals Lab. He has also precepted countless MSN prepared students.

Mr. Smith’s desire to teach in higher education is based on his excitement about contributing to the advancement of others seeking to realize their professional potential, commitment to mentoring and leadership.

At Walden University, he serves as an adjunct instructor in the MSN program in support of the clinical aspects of the program.
