In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. Her passion for developing the potential of others and her exceptional ability to devise and implement organizational strategies have been acknowledged throughout her career.
Bridget Dewees holds a Ph.D. in Management, Leadership, and Organizational Change from Walden University, earned in 2016. She also possesses a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of South Carolina.
In addition to her academic achievements, Bridget Dewees has made significant contributions to the field, having served as a National Baldrige Examiner and a South Carolina Judge for the SC Governor's Quality Award. She has also shared her expertise as a South Carolina Baldrige Examiner Trainer and is a certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Practitioner. She is the sole proprietor of Visions Consulting By Dewees, LLC.
