Billy Leonardo, DNP, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC has a doctorate in nursing with a specialty in family and psychiatric mental health. Dr. Leonardo obtained his doctorate in nursing from Touro University, his family nurse practitioner from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, and his post master’s certificate in psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Regis College. He started his nursing career in 2009 and has been a nurse practitioner since 2017. Dr. Leonardo began as a part-time clinical faculty member at Walden University in the School of Nursing in Spring 2021. His clinical experience includes inpatient and outpatient settings. He is skilled and trained to manage acute and chronic psychiatric disorders with psychopharmacological interventions and psychotherapy. Furthermore, Dr. Leonardo is experienced to manage patients with substance abuse disorders.
