Dr. Barbara Ward is an advanced practice nurse and certified nurse educator with an expansive and diverse clinical and educational background.Her nursing journey began in the senior year of high school with a dual LPN program and progressed through an associate degree RN, BSN, MSNED, to a DNP.
With over three decades of clinical practice, Dr.Ward has held certifications in Critical Care (CCRN) and as a Certified RN Infusionist (CRNI). Her experience spans acute care trauma-progressive care, cardiac telemetry, hospice, subacute care, radiology special procedures, and critical care. Dr. Ward's passion for education led from clinical teaching to academia as a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE).
Dr. Ward has a proven track record in delivering high-quality online education, including curriculum development and course management. I have demonstrated the ability to lead and manage faculty teams, develop educational programs, and oversee accreditation processes. I am skilled in using technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning and engagement.
Dr. Ward's professional goal is to integrate her clinical nursing expertise with innovative online teaching methodologies to foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive learning environment. She is dedicated to the professional and academic development of nursing students, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and advocating for evidence-based practice.
