Barbara Mae Carter has been teaching business management, leadership, and organizational development classes at the doctoral level since 2020, including serving on doctoral committees and presenting at doctoral symposia. She is an experienced leadership consultant with a demonstrated history of designing and facilitating adult learning in both academic and corporate settings since 2001. Barbara completed a Doctor of Management with a concentration in Organizational Development and Change from Colorado Technical University. In December 2019, she published her dissertation, The Leadership Practices Female ODC Managers Use to Improve Change Initiatives. Barbara holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts in Management from George Fox University. She is also a Certified Agile Leader, Certified Ruth Clark Instructional Designer, Prosci™ Certified Change Practitioner, and holds a Society of Human Resources Management-Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification. In February of 2024, Barbara co-authored Multinational Electronic Health Records Interoperability Strategies, which is SCOPUS indexed. Her contribution to this publication promoted organizational development and change management strategies in healthcare.
